Hong Kong, China contributions 70 helpful votes. Functional budget hotel. Reviews are accurate. I booked this so I could work from a Macau hotel room without too much cost or hassle, and it did the job.
At checkin I was upgraded to the second largest room, and it had a good laptop desk and enough space and storage that I could comfortably live there, even with a big suitcase worth of stuff.
The hotel basically has most things you would want in a hotel: room service, buffet breakfast, plentiful furniture in the big rooms, etc.
The room had a hole in the wall that had been patched. I needed to pay cash for my room service and breakfast that wasn't included in room cost.
If you have a dust allergy, bring medicine. The taxi drivers all knew the hotel's Chinese name when I showed it to them.
The hotel doesn't have a taxi stand, so when it rained it was a bit hard to catch a cab outside. The location was in a pleasantly uncrowded part of the peninsula, unlike historic Macau.
Date of stay: August Trip type: Traveled solo. Another great stay for my wifes birthday, this hotel is still the best in the historic area of the city, excellent value for money, good food, large well fitted rooms that are very clean and best of all the staff, very efficient, helpful and friendly.
Top all this with a very good breakfast and one of the best locations in town,it is everything you could wish for in Macau, looking forward to a return trip will be our 5th stay here in the near future.

Hotel Sintra is 3 star hotel with 5 service amenities inside the room. The rooms are big decent size.
Toilets Have a very good jacuzzi. Tv has small home theater kind of speakers attached. They also offer 4 complimentary drinks in Mini bar which was really nice, never got this even in 5 stars.
Location is very good for sightseeing 12 min walk to ruins of Saint Paul,Sena do square. If not keen on staying in a hotel with Casino you will not go wrong with this hotel.
Some big casinos are also-just 3 min walk from hotel.
The place is magic! The room was clean and cozy, breakfast right on time was really good! Tudo muito bom. Popular with guests booking hotels in Sintra.
Excellent location near the local restaurants. Lawrence's Hotel has country-style rooms and suites featuring a library and an elegant restaurant with French windows.
In a renovated countryside manor, it offers rooms with antique furniture. Beautiful hotel. Great location. Surrounded by pine forests and the Sintra Mountain Range, this hotel is a 3-minute drive from the beach.
It offers air-conditioned rooms and has an outdoor pool with a sun-lounger terrace. I don't know what people are whining about. For hotels in Sintra that serve highly-rated breakfasts, try Storytellers Villas , Hotel Nova Sintra , and Sintra Bliss Hotel.

We've sent you an email so you can confirm your subscription. It is a magical place which is very close to Lisbon.
It requires atleast 3 days to explore all the castles and more if you want to visit Cascais also. It is very good for trekking and even public transport is very convenient.
Only issue is that there was too much crowd in December even though it was off-season. Even in December it wasn't very cold so it was refreshing to roam around and plus the cheaper entry tickets to castles was a cherry on the cake.
The must visit castles would be the Pena palace, Moorish castle, Quinta de Regaleira and the Monserrate. The gardens are truly breathtaking.
The city centre is small but has good restaurants. I could even find an Indian restaurant. I have not seen a more beautiful hill station.
Sinatra is compact and easy to get around on foot. Use the local buses to get up to the palaces unless you really want to hike up mountain roads.
The and will get you around nicely, costing 5euros on each return. Also only 4o minutes to Lisbon by train if you want a day there.
There is so much to see, but it needs time. The Moors castle has superb views - go to one turret and take photo of the other.
Monserrate Palace and garden is amazing - feels almost tropical - as if in India or Mexico. We skipped Pena palace as too crowded, too many cars.
Distances are short - most people could walk our kids 5,6 walked from station to Pena to Monserrate. There are some forest walks off the road, but not far enough.
Beware the buses in Sintra - companies compete on similar routes but don't share info, get stuck and are crowded. Hope they will bring back the tramway towards the coast.
